It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ray DiPasquale, former President of Clinton Community College (CCC), who passed away on April 4th, 2024. Ray served as the College President from 2017 to 2021, leaving an indelible mark on the institution and the lives of those he touched.

Ray DiPasquale

Ray was more than just an administrator; he was a kind and gentle soul who provided authentic leadership during challenging times, particularly throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. His steadfast guidance helped stabilize the college's finances, demonstrating a commitment to fiscal responsibility by overseeing the sale of the college's dorm buildings.

Under Ray's tenure, CCC witnessed significant milestones, including the completion of the Institute for Advanced Manufacturing and the Learning Commons. Additionally, his vision for campus revitalization led to the successful renovation of the Moore Building, enhancing the learning environment for students and faculty alike.

In August 2021, Ray embarked on a new chapter in his career as President of Massasoit Community College in Brockton, Massachusetts, where he continued to inspire and empower those around him. Despite his departure, Ray's legacy continued to resonate within the CCC community, as evidenced by the fond memories shared by all who knew him.

Ray's genuine sense of humor, his unwavering optimism, and his compassionate care for every member of the community will forever be remembered. His impact on CCC transcended mere administrative duties; he fostered a culture of inclusivity, kindness, and excellence that will endure for generations to come.

"Ray was the kind of person everyone wanted to be around. He always brought out the best of every situation and projected a positive perspective in all he was involved in. I will miss my friend but will never forget his side eye with a slight smile letting me know things will be okay," said David Favro, Clinton Community College’s Board of Trustees Chairperson.

"The loss of Ray DiPasquale is deeply felt by our entire community. His leadership and compassion left an indelible mark on Clinton Community College. I will always remember Ray's good sense of humor, his positive outlook on life, and his thoughtful caring for everyone in our community.," said Dr. John Kowal, President of Clinton Community College.

Dr. Kowal continued, "Ray's legacy of integrity and dedication will continue to inspire us as we carry forward his vision for excellence and community engagement. He will be greatly missed."

The loss of Ray DiPasquale leaves a void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.
