• Middle States Commission on Higher Education reaffirmed the College’s accreditation for another 10 years.
• Clinton’s
became one of only 89 programs in the nation to

• For the third consecutive year, Clinton was named as one of the nation’s top 15%
“Military Friendly Schools”
by GI Jobs Magazine. Clinton has earned this honor for providing strong programs and services for veterans.
• General Electric (GE) donated a
1.5 megawatt generator and gearbox

• The following programs were awarded funding from the
SUNY High Needs Grant
program: $40,346 in Electrical Technology: Electronics, $57,709 in Computer
Information Systems and Computer Technology, and $70,326 in Nursing.
• November 2012 saw the launch of Clinton’s new
online course registration
system.
• Smarthinking
online tutoring was launched with the support of Federal Perkins Grant
funding. Students now have access to tutoring 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
INTERNATIONAL CONNECTIONS
At Clinton, one of our Strategic Goals is to “Create a culture that embraces
internationalism and diversity as essential to the economy and the quality
of life of our region.” This year we continued to expand on that goal:
• A
record number of international students
attended Clinton. Students from
China, Russia, The United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, South Korea,
Canada, India, Mozambique, Japan, Bahrain, Venezuela and Malaysia attended.

course. Two of the students traveled with the assistance of
scholarships from the College’s Foundation and Alumni Association.
• Clinton was the regional host for the
Champlain Valley Tour of
International Counselors
. Counselors from Australia, China, Italy, The
United Kingdom, Venezuela, Zambia and Zimbabwe attended.
• The Center for Community and Workforce Development held a two-
week non-credit English language and
cultural immersion program
for a group of students from Zhejiang Wanli University in China.
TRANSFER OPTIONS
Clinton established two new advisement
options for students looking to
seamlessly advance their degree:
• Liberal Arts Humanities / Social Science to B.S.
in
Social Work
at Plattsburgh State University.
• Nursing A.A.S. to B.S. in
Nursing
at
SUNY Empire State College.
PROGRESS
ACADEMIC
“Academic Challenge” and “Support for Learners” were two
of the factors that brought Clinton to the top of Washington
Monthly’s National list. Enhancing our already rigorous academic
programs with cutting edge technology and improved student
services allows our students to excel in a competitive market.
