• An annual survey of career and technology graduates indicates that they have done well since graduation. For
the class of 2011-2012, 95% reported that they are either employed or not currently seeking employment.
• December 2012 Valedictorian was
Sherrie Harvey
of Rouses Point, New York who graduated with a degree in Business
Accounting. Salutatorian was
Arond Roach
of Mooers, New York who graduated with a degree in Industrial Technology.
• Spring 2013 Valedictorian was
Nicholas Zagrodzki
of Peru, New York who graduated with
a degree in Business
Administration. Salutatorian was
Eric Vancour
of Lacolle, Québec who graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice.
• Th
e
which grants full-tuition scholarships to high-achieving Clinton
County high school graduates continued to grow with 28 new, and 48 total Presidential Scholars at Clinton in Fall 2012.
• This year the
Student Senate
raised money for a variety of local organizations. In addition, they sponsored
a county-wide effort to collect unused school supplies to be donated to the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Six
boxes totaling 227 pounds of school supplies were sent to The Rockaways, in Queens County New York.
• The Student Senate donated a new
“Home of the Cougars”
sign, which now sits at the top
of Clinton Point Drive, welcoming students, faculty, staff and visitors to campus.
• Clinton participated in the first SUNY-wide Community College
Completion Day
Program, embracing the “Commit. Complete. Compete!” philosophy.
Alpha Pi Tau is Clinton’s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the
International Honor Society of Two-Year Colleges.
• Alpha Pi Tau inducted

new members.
• Two Clinton students were named to the Phi
Theta Kappa
All New York Team

advanced to the national scholarship competition.

“Student Effort” was another Washington Monthly benchmark.
Clinton students continue to excel, and each year we find
new ways to increase the success of our students, from
optimizing access to creating a caring community.
