Alumni, retirees, students, faculty/staff, and community friends always enjoy meeting
in the fully renovated Alumni Cottage. Originally built in 1890, it serves as a symbol
of pride in the past and future of Clinton Community College and its graduates.
• The Alumni Association awarded $8,000 in
Student Development Grants
.
The grants helped 30 students take advantage of educational opportunities
such as attending academic conferences and studying abroad.
• Nancy Scanlan
, Class of 1980 was honored as the 2013 Distinguished Alumna.
After graduating from Clinton, Nancy went on to earn her Masters in Nursing from
Pace University. She has taught in Clinton’s nursing department for over 20 years, is
an Associate Professor at Plattsburgh State University, and also works as a Nurse
Practitioner at Behavioral Health Services North. Nancy recently retired from the
College’s Alumni Association Board of Directors, after 10 years of service.
• Community members came to see the Alumni Cottage all decked-out for the
holidays, as a stop on the
Kent DeLord Museum’s Annual Secret Holiday Tour
.
• Alumnae of the
Champlain Valley School of Nursing
were guests
of honor at the 2013 Capping & Pinning nursing ceremony.
• The
Annual Reunion
of Alumni, Retirees, & Friends occurs on the 3
rd
Saturday of
September. This year
Completely Stranded
, a local comedy troupe of Clinton Alumni
entertained the crowd. Mark your calendars and be sure to join us next September!
