Clinton Community College to Host Thanksgiving Meal Distribution Site at IAM

Clinton Community College will serve as one of four distribution sites for a major Thanksgiving meal initiative led by the Regional Food Bank. This collaborative effort aims to support thousands of individuals, families and seniors across the North Country.
The announcement was made earlier this week at the Institute for Advanced Manufacturing at Clinton Community College, where representatives from the Regional Food Bank and several local and regional partners gathered to share details about the historic single-day event.
On Saturday, Nov. 22, the Regional Food Bank, in partnership with its network of community organizations, will distribute 10,500 Thanksgiving meals to more than 20,000 people across Clinton, Franklin, Washington and Warren Counties. The Plattsburgh distribution site will be located at the Institute for Advanced Manufacturing at Clinton Community College, with meal pick-up beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing while supplies last.
Volunteers, along with Regional Food Bank staff, sponsors and community partners, will be on hand to help distribute the meal boxes. Each 54-pound box is filled with traditional Thanksgiving ingredients—from turkey to cranberry sauce—allowing families to prepare and enjoy a home-cooked holiday meal together.
“As the holiday season approaches, families are looking for meaningful ways to celebrate, and that often means gathering around the table to share a meal,” said Ken Knelly, Acting President of Clinton Community College. “We are looking forward to hosting this historic Thanksgiving meal distribution at Clinton Community College’s Institute for Advanced Manufacturing. Clinton is proud to work alongside the Regional Food Bank and other crucial community partners in supporting people across the North Country by providing a complete and tasty meal that they can enjoy with their families — all at no cost."
