Elijah Carroll Named NJCAA Region 3 Player of the Week

Clinton Community College is thrilled to announce that Elijah Carroll has been honored as the NJCAA Region 3 Player of the Week for his outstanding performance during the week of December 4th through December 10th.

Elijah Carroll, a standout player for the Clinton Community College Cougars, showcased exceptional skill and determination in a thrilling game against SUNY Broome. Carroll achieved a career-high 32 points and demonstrated remarkable accuracy by making 11 of 13 shots from the field. His stellar performance played a pivotal role in Clinton Community College's victory, holding SUNY Broome to just 12 points in the second half.

In addition to his remarkable scoring abilities, Carroll displayed versatility on the court, contributing an average of 20 points, 5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 steals in a pair of road wins over the weekend. The Cougars emerged victorious in both contests, thanks to Elijah's all-around excellence and leadership.

Notably, Carroll's shooting prowess was on full display, boasting an impressive 70% field goal accuracy by connecting on 15 of his 21 attempts. His efficiency and consistency were key factors in securing the victories for Clinton Community College.

This recognition as NJCAA Region 3 Player of the Week is a testament to Elijah Carroll's exceptional talent and dedication to the game. His performance has not only brought honor to himself but has also elevated the Clinton Community College Cougars to new heights.

The Cougars are now 8-3 this season. This is the best record Clinton has had since the 2013-2014 season and they are now ranked 13th in the nation in every defensive category. The team’s next game is at 7:00pm on January 11th at Herkimer College. The game will be streamed online.
