SUNY Chancellor Visits Clinton CC to Spotlight Reconnect Program, Co-Location with SUNY Plattsburgh

SUNY Chancellor John B. King Jr. visited Clinton Community College and SUNY Plattsburgh on Wednesday, Jan. 21, as part of the SUNY Reconnect Tour. The visit recognized both the expansion of educational access for adult learners and the progress of Clinton’s co-location on the Plattsburgh campus.

The chancellor met with students, faculty and staff and highlighted the significant role of Clinton’s nursing program in meeting regional workforce needs. The program continues to attract adult learners participating in SUNY Reconnect, a statewide initiative launched by Gov. Kathy Hochul that provides eligible adults ages 25 to 55 with free tuition, fees, books and supplies in high-demand fields.
Chancellor King also recognized the success of Clinton Community College’s co-location on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus. Since the relocation last August, Clinton has increased enrollment, reduced facility-related costs and strengthened academic and support services for students. The partnership has expanded cross-registration options, improved transfer pathways and given Clinton students access to a wider range of campus resources.
