Clinton Community College to Mark 60 Years with Special Event Open to All Residents, Alumni

Clinton Community College will celebrate its 60th anniversary year with a special event on Saturday, Aug. 15, inviting all area residents to return, reconnect and rediscover CCC.
The celebration will take place on the college’s new campus outside the George Moore Building, 46 Beekman St., and the Administration Building, 133 Court St. The special event includes:
First, a free, open to all Cougar Campus Celebration from 1 to 4 p.m.
Food and ice cream will be available for purchase from local food trucks. Attendees can explore the campus through guided tours of the new George Moore and Administration buildings, as well as the nursing skills labs at nearby Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, part of UVM Health.
Visitors are also encouraged to enjoy the Foundation of CVPH's Centennial Summer Carnival, taking place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the front lawn of CVPH, just steps from campus. The family-friendly event will feature food trucks, games, carnival acts and live music, creating a full day of community celebration in Plattsburgh.
Then, at 4 p.m., the event will transition into the annual Clinton Community College Awards Reception at the Administration Building.
The reception will commemorate the college’s 60th year and include the presentation of the Distinguished Alumni Award, the Off to a Good Start Award and the Maureen Moll: Excellence in Community Theatre Award.
A $10 donation to the Clinton Community College Foundation provides access to the reception, including light refreshments and a cash bar.
The events are designed to give alumni and friends of Clinton an opportunity to reconnect with former classmates, faculty, staff and colleagues and rediscover the college’s campus.
“Whether you studied here, worked here, served in leadership or simply hold Clinton Community College close to your heart, this celebration is for you,” said Steven G. Frederick, vice president of institutional advancement. “It’s a chance to reconnect with the people and experiences that helped shape this college over the past 60 years and to rediscover all that Clinton has become.”
“Clinton Community College has been a cornerstone of education and opportunity in our region for six decades,” said President Ken Knelly. “As we celebrate this milestone, we invite our community to return to campus, reconnect with one another and rediscover the impact of a Clinton education.”
The anniversary reunion is part of a broader series of initiatives marking the college’s 60th year, including “Your Name Here,” which offers supporters the opportunity to leave a legacy on campus.
Attendees are encouraged to register in advance for this special event online.
