Clinton CC Launches “Your Name Here” Campaign During 60th Anniversary Year

Clinton Community College is marking its 60th anniversary with the launch of a new fundraising initiative that offers donors the opportunity to name spaces across the college’s three locations.
Announced Tuesday, the “Your Name Here” campaign invites businesses, individuals and foundations to sponsor available spaces in the college’s George Moore Building, Administrative Building, Institute for Advanced Manufacturing and Nursing and EMS Suite at CVPH – UVM Health.
Sponsored spaces may be named in honor of a loved one, the donor or a business. Nearly 140 spaces remain available, each of which will be recognized with signage featuring customized wording and details.

“As we celebrate 60 years of serving our community, we are also focused on the decades ahead,” said Acting President Ken Knelly. “We work alongside our partners, supporters and students to ensure the long-term sustainability, growth and continued evolution of Clinton Community College.”
“Your Name Here” is part of a $4 million fundraising effort that will support the expansion of academic programs aligned with workforce needs, the purchase of advanced equipment and technology, the recruitment and retention of faculty and staff and the development of student support initiatives.

“‘Your Name Here’ allows our community to be directly visible in shaping the future of the college,” said Steven Frederick, vice president for institutional advancement. “Every named space represents an investment in students, workforce development and the continued accessibility of higher education in the North Country.”
Knelly said the campaign complements existing public and local support.
“We are deeply grateful to the State of New York and SUNY, as well as to Clinton County for its local support, for funding our operations,” he said. “Combined with tuition from our students and families, private philanthropy allows us to respond more quickly to workforce needs and elevate the student experience.”
Several donors have already committed to the campaign, including AES Northeast, UFirst Federal Credit Union, the George and Shirley Moore Foundation and distinguished Clinton Community College alumna Carol Arnold.
The campaign was announced during a campus celebration marking the college’s 60th anniversary, which included cake and a visit from Enzo, the college’s official dog.
