Clinton Community College will host a Human Services Open House on Saturday, March 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the George Moore Building at 46 Beekman St.

Prospective students interested in careers that make a positive impact in their communities are encouraged to attend and learn more about the college’s Human Services program and the range of career pathways in the helping professions.

Clinton’s Human Services program prepares students for roles in social services, community outreach and mental health support. The program combines classroom learning with hands-on experience to equip graduates with the skills needed to succeed in the field.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet faculty members, current students and local community partners, including Autism Alliance of Northeastern NY, Champlain Valley Educational Services (CVES), Clinton County, Conifer Park and Whitney Young Health.

Visitors will also learn about SUNY Reconnect, which provides eligible adults ages 25 to 55 with a tuition‑free path to select associate degree programs at SUNY community colleges, like Clinton. Representatives from Admissions and Financial Aid will be on hand to answer questions about applying, financial aid options, scholarships and available support services.

“Our talented faculty and staff, combined with our hands-on learning environment, ensure that students graduate confident, prepared and ready to make a difference,” said Acting President Ken Knelly. “Our Human Services graduates make an impact throughout our region, and we’d love to see more students join that tradition.”

Guests will tour campus facilities and experience firsthand the welcoming atmosphere and student‑centered environment at Clinton Community College.

Those interested in attending must register online to attend the Human Services Open House.

“Whether you're beginning your college journey or returning to finish what you started, a Human Services degree can open the door to purposeful, impactful work,” Knelly said. “We invite you to explore what Clinton has to offer.”
